REVIEW | Vinada Alcohol Free Sparkling Wine & Rosé

As a true wine lover, I was very excited when I came across a press release in my mailbox of the non-alcoholic Vinada wines. I really enjoy a wine with my dinner or during the weekends, but as we all know: alcohol is not that great for you. I try to stick to two to three glasses of wine a week, but sometimes - especially on special occasions - it's just too good to pass up on! Imagine my joy and curiosity when I was sent two bottles (a white wine and a rosé) to try and review for you😋

First of all, it's good to know that Vinada wines are available in and outside of The Netherlands, as well in stores as online. Go and take a look to see if Vinada Wines are available in your country :) When I got a box of these wines in the mail, I was so excited to try these wines. They look REALLY good. The packaging itself looks very fancy, like an actual bottle of wine. After I chilled it in the fridge for a while, I tried the white wine first.

Like wine, but also like champagne
Pouring the non-alcoholic wine into my wine glass, I noticed that it's a sparkling wine (which was on the label, but I was too curious to read the label before tasting it) There are actual wines that contain alcohol and that are sparkling as well so nothing strange here... Then it was time for some proper smelling (hey, as a true wine lover, I follow all the steps involved in a good wine tasting). Sniff sniff... Yup, smells like wine! Also a little bit like apple juice, but just a teeny tiny bit. Then I took a sip and I instantly thought it tasted like a combination of wine, champagne and apple juice. Or perhaps the Jillz ciders. It's a slightly sweet and refreshing.

The funny thing is, I drank this like I would drink an alcoholic wine - with small sips. It just feels like you're drinking wine, instead of some sort of soda. I really enjoyed it! And what I enjoyed the most? No single side effect of alcohol! If I had to choose, I do prefer an alcoholic wine, just because it's got a stronger taste and of course, the 'real' wine taste. But for an alcohol-free wine, this comes super close! The Vinada wines are actually wines and had the same wine making process ( it's not just grape juice, haha), but the alcohol has been removed out of it. The wines come in 200ml bottles, but I really wish they would be available in 750 ml bottles.... I read on their website that they're developing new flavors and considering bigger bottles too, so fingers crossed!

If you want to impress your friends or family with a more extraordinary version of spaghetti, these crispy spaghetti donuts are the ideal recipe! And if you know how to make spaghetti, these donuts are super easy to make, too. There are just two ingredients you need to add to your spaghetti (and make sure you've got a donut tray) to make these spaghetti donuts.

This recipe was created by Pop Pasta in New York and their spaghetti donuts are taking over Instagram. They say their famous spaghetti donuts are great as a snack during a picnick or lunch break as they're not as messy as pizza but definitely just as tasty. When dressed with a salad on the side, these would be great for dinner as well. Yumm! If you want to make these yourself, you can make any type of spaghetti you want, with olives, tomatoes, other veggies etc. Once your spaghetti is ready, all you have to do is pop it in a donut tray, apply some egg wash and cheese on top and bake it untill it's crunchy! So easy 😋

VITA COCO COCONUT WATER

I've been paying more attention to a healthy lifestyle lately. Especially since I will start my new internship soon, which will take up a lot of energy. I've learned that the best energy comes from a combination of good sleep, excersise and most importantly: good food. That's why I'm cutting down on sugar, processed foods and anything with E numbers that your body doesn't need anyways. As a major Coca Cola and Red Bull addict, drinking healthy is harder for me than eating healthy. Especially because I don't drink water. I know, sounds crazy to everybody, but I really don't like water. So, imagine my excitement when I got sent a package of Vita Coco Coconut water!

100% pure coconut water is said to be the most hydrating, refreshing, vitamin- and mineral-rich nectar. It is a great source of potassium and it is fat and cholesterol free. The best way to hydrate naturally! The flavors I got are Natural Coconut water, Coconut water with peach & mango, Coconut water with Pineapple and Coconut water Lemonade. As I already expected, I did not like the 100% natural coconut water. It's a very sweet liquid with a nutty taste, and I don't like the taste of nuts. The other flavors are pretty good and fruity, with less of a coconut taste. My favorite is the one  I'm enjoying on the photo above: Lemonade! All the fruity tastes come from purree, so it's real fruit and no added flavors. I'm happily surprised about these nutricious drinks, I am definitely going to add them on my daily super healthy menu!

REVIEW | UZUMA GREEN JUICE

Hi lovelies!

It's good to be back to blogging, I feel like it's been ages since I wrote a proper article haha. I just started my 3d week of internship and it's been amazing so far! I'm doing my internship in Amsterdam which requires me to get up at 6AM and travel a total of 5 hours a day, with not a lot of spare time.. But it's totally worth it! A while ago I got an email from Uzuma in the Netherlands and they asked me if I'd like to try their brand new cold pressed green juices... Since I am really making an effort to eat healthy with my insanely busy schedule, i said YES please! 

I was pleasantly surprised when I received a box of frozen Uzuma green juices. I started reading the leaflets right away because the first question that popped up was: 'how does this stay fresh for 21 days?!' Well, that's because they use a special technique: coldpressing the drinks, which is why they are frozen when you receive them. I didn't put them in the freezer, just the refridgerator;)  

Uzuma is all about healthy vegetables and fruit, and lots of them! They add nothing extra to the green juices, meaning there are no preservatives, fragrances, colourings or flavourings. All their vegetables and fruits are slow juiced which allows you to benefit from maximum vitamin and mineral retention. And that's exactly what I want! All Uzuma green juices are sold separately, but you can also enjoy all of your favourite Uzuma juices as part of one easy package. Uzuma offers green juice programmes; these are for losing weight, balancing your weight, a fit and healthy lifestyle and a detox programme.  I didn't want to do a specific programme, I just wanted to drink the juices to stay healthy and energetic during a hectic second week of internship. I must say, when I had my regular smoothies during the first week (from the supermarket, they contain added sugars and other stuff like E-numbers that we really don't need!) i felt tired and hungry again after 5 minutes. When I had my first Uzuma juice I felt energetic and I didn't crave anything the entire morning.  I do have to admit, i didn't like some of the juices, the green ones in particular. Those often contained cabbage and brocolli, while the orange ones ('Shine' was my fave) contained carrots, apples, orange and lemon for a much fruitier taste. However, i think it is an AMAZING invention and the best way to quickly get a the nutritients and vitamins you need for a healthy lifestyle. I've heard from people on Instagram that they've tried this too.
