Full & Natural Eyebrows With Castor Oil - This Really Works!

It's crazy how quickly trends in make up and beauty change nowadays. It wasn't too long ago when thin, drawn on eyebrows where hot and happening. Then there were (and still are) the 'Instagram' brows, followed by the latest brow trend: full, natural, bushy brows. But what if you're not blessed with brows like super models Cara Delevingne and Kaia Gerber, for example? I tried a beauty oil that's known to promote hair growth... let me tell you: it 100% works! 

Fuller, thicker eyebrows with Castor oil
As soon as I read about castor oil being really great for growing out your eyebrows (or eyelashes) I decided to give it a try. It's important to only use 100% castor oil, which is a bit thicker and yellow-ish of color. Some castor oils are mixed with other oils, so you won't get everything out of the product. Pure castor oil is unusually rich in ricinoleic acid which helps improve your blood circulation, more than any other oil would do. That results in nutrition for the hair follicles, but also much stronger strands and less breakage.

How often should you apply Castor oil?
At first I forgot to use castor oil every evening, so I did it about 2 or 3 times a week. Later on I made it a part of my night routine and I literally applied it every single night before going to sleep. I simply applied a decent amount of oil on top of my brows and gently rubbed it in, so that all the hairs and the roots were covered. After about a week of doing this every night, I noticed a major difference! My eyebrows started growing back in places where there were bald patches before, and the hairs came back so much thicker. After about 3 months my eyebrows were so much thicker that I finally stopped drawing them in. Nowadays I still apply castor oil to my brows about once or twice a week, because they're actually starting to get really bushy... I trim the edges now, which I never thought I'd have to do to my brows!

All I do now as far as my brow routine goes when applying my makeup, it brushing some dark brown mascara through the hairs to make them a little thicker and keep them in place. I honestly love this natural, thick brow look on myself, and it saves me a lot of time in in my make up routine as well. So, if you're looking for a cheap and easy way to grow out your brows, get your hands on a bottle of 100% Castor oil and within a few weeks, you should see major results😃

Back to the 80's: blue eyemake up

Well how do we wear this cool make up trend nowadays? If you don't want to go overboard with the pop of blue on your eyes, just stick with a blue eyeliner. Blue is one of the only colors that looks great with any eyecolor, skintone or hair color, so trying out a blue eyeliner could really be fun for everyone! Instead of a liner along the lashline, you can also apply a blue eye pencil on the waterline of your lower lashline for a more subtle look.

Or are you a bit more of dare devil? Go for a blue mascara on the top and bottom lashes! This will definitely turn those eyes into eyecatchers! You can keep the rest of the look simple with a nude lip, of go for the ultimate 80's look with a hot pink lipstick. How funky!

Wanna keep  it a little more plain? Instead of going for blue mascara or eyeliner, go for a hint of blue in your eyemakeup. A blue smokey eye is the perfect look for a night out.

REVIEW: ETOS SKIN SMOOTHING PRIMER

Etos Skin Smoothing Primer is a transparant primer that promises to make the skin look and feel smoother, it conceals blemishes and it can be used after your day cream, just to make your skin look smooth and radiant. But us girls will probably use it as it is meant to be used: as a base for your make up.

The product is packed in a pump bottle, which I think is better because that is the most hygienic way to keep bacteria out. Besides, one pump gives you the exact amount you need for your entire face.
I like to use this after my day cream, it only needs seconds to dry and so does my day cream ;) Then I apply my make up like I always do. Usually, I need to fix my make up within a few hours because I get a shiny forehead or nose, and sometimes it gets smudgy. Since I've been using the primer the foundation lasts ALL day and I hardly have to do anything anymore to keep my make up pretty.

Doing my make up is even more fun! I wanna go for dramatic smokey eyes, bold lips and perfect blusher every day now, not just for a party. I know my make up will last all day when I use the primer, it really does make a great difference.

Tip: if you're using a lipliner like me, also apply some primer on your lips. The lipliner will stay on perfectly!

MAKE UP | KIM KARDASHIAN INSPIRED

Here is how I did it in a simple step by step:)
1: I applied the Maybelline BB cream with a foundation brush, then the BeYu concealer under my eyes and I then brushed the Maybelline Fit Me powder on to set the foundation and concealer.
2: Next I used my fave bronzing pearls from a Dutch store called Hema. These are perfect for countouring!
3: Then I used the Etos bronzing powder on top of that, but I also used this for my eyes. The second picture shows exactly which color I used on which part of my eyes.
4: I used a brown Essence eye pencil to fill in my brows and I used it on my lower lashline. I lalalalalooove to use the Essence waterproof eye liner after I applied eyeshadow.
5: As usual,  I then apply my false lashes. I've been obsessed with the Sultry Lashes from Primark. They're quite natural, but get very dramatic when I use my Bourjois Mascara on top of it.
6: For the lips I used a nude/peachy lipliner and creamy lipstick, both from Essence.

Tijdens de zomervakantie keek ik non stop naar Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Gisteren was het toevallig op toen ik de tv aanzette, en dit keer blééf ik maar kijken. Ik was helemaal weg van de make up van Kim Kardashian. De look leek heel erg op de onderstaande foto. Ik vind Kim echt een van de mooiste vrouwen op deze planeet, met en zonder make up. Haar make up was toch best opvallend hoewel ze neutrale kleuren gebruikte. Ik besloot vandaag haar look uit te proberen. 

Dit zijn de simpele stappen voor deze look:
1. Ik bracht als eerste de Maybelline BB cream aan met een foundation kwast. Daarna de BeYu concealer en Maybelline Fit Me poeder zodat alles lekker lang en glimloos blijft zitten:)
2: Daarna gebruikte ik de bronzing pearls van Hema. Superfijn, en ideaal om te countouren!
3: Vervolgens gebruikte ik mijn Etos bronzing poeder erover heen voor een beetje glans op mijn wangen. De kleuren gebruikte ik afzonderlijk als highlighter en oogschaduw. Op de onderstaande foto staat met nummertjes aangegeven wat ik waar gebruikte.
4: Ik gebruik altijd een bruin oogpotlood van Essence voor mijn wenkbrauwen en op mijn onderste ooglid. Ik ben helemaal fan van de wateproof eyeliner van Essence, die ik altijd na mijn oogschaduw aanbreng.
5: Zoals altijd komen daarna de nepwimpers aan de beurt. Ik ben helemaal fan van de Sultry Lashes van Primark. Ze zijn best natuurlijk, maar met de mascara van Bourjois erover heen juist super dramatisch!
6: Als laatst gebruikte ik de lipliner en lipstick van Essence in een nude /peachy kleur.
